Austria GP: Charles Leclerc on pole, Hamilton joins in on front row

In a rather dramatic qualifying session, Charles Leclerc pips Hamilton to grab pole position in Spielberg circuit in Austria. Sebastian Vettel could not get a run in the final session due to some issue. Max Verstappen had an inspired drive in front of his fans, finishing 3rd.

It was rather good session for the Ferrari engine, though Sebastian might disagree, as 5 of the top 10 are either their works or customer teams. There still might be some changes as Hamilton has an investigation pending for impeding Kimi Raikkonen in Q1. He might be taking a 3 place drop for that.

There was chaos on the final run as drivers queued up behind each other for getting a tow with very limited time left in the session. Eventually all managed to get through and complete their laps.

So, after a long time we have 3 different constructors starting the race in the first three positions. And not a Mercedes on the front row as we have become habituated to see.

The setting looks perfect for a great race tomorrow. It is, as we say, Game on!!!
